We love Judy so much, it’s sad that we can’t go to her as often as we used to. Just just had a baby, and is working on opening her own studio, and being a nurse, so her appointment time is limited. She is amazingly talented however, as she is a teacher at a nail technician school in addition to all the other amazing things she has going on. She is based in Corona, Queens, so if you are from the area it might be worth it to try and DM her to see if you can get an appointment.

STUDIO: ★★★★

We originally met Judy at New Love Nail, but now she works out of a home studio. Her studio is small and very crowded, but it is quaint and she works hard to keep it in order. Parking near her studio is super tight and very limited, so if don’t have to take a car, don’t take a car.

NAIL CARE: ★★★★

I was always happy with my nail health after visiting Judy. She was great at supporting my nails while she was filing them. She was very careful at removing polish and she helped us keep the length on our nails.

ART: ★★★★★

Judy is an art expert. I love how I can tell her weird abstract things and she totally just rolls with it. Above you can see the nails she did for me based on the different types of marble on the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Italy. Next in the gallery is the nails she did based on the different cars I picked out from Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The third picture is Dali’s 2018 Valentine’s Day nails that were based on a design she found on the internet (final gallery picture). When Judy saw it she said, “Dali this is boring, we’re going to make it better.” We were laughing so hard, but in the end Judy was right and her design came out much more interesting than the original photo. She is meticulous and detail oriented. She also is very good at doing raised gel, she won a prize for her gel flowers that took over 5 hours to build.

LONGEVITY: ★★★★

I always kept the gel on for way too long, so it lifted on my nails. I should probably stop doing that. Judy uses a lot of gel so if you like you nails to be strongly reinforced for longevity than Judy is your girl. I never lost any of the gems Judy put on my nails and she always said that if we had any issues we could come back and she’d fix it.
