Overall:★★

M&M is a solid studio. It’s a little expensive. I went there because it was one of those times when I had to get the gel that was on my fingers off right now. They had an opening so I took it. The art that the technicians were doing around me looked good, but I didn’t have time to get art so I skipped it. Maybe next time.

STUDIO: ★★

The studio is very nice, but very crowded. The waiting area is a small bench and the manicure desks are really packed into the room. In a way it is kind of exciting, like a bustling store, but if you don’t like the feeling of being part of a factory this may turn you off a bit.

NAIL CARE: ★★

A lot of the technicians here appeared to be Japanese or at least Japanese trained. I like the Japanese nail care style, generally more gentle, with less scraping during removal, so this to me was a good sign. My technician followed this to a T. I had the gel on from Dashing Diva, (see below) which was not hard to get off, but the technician did take off my gel extension without asking. Probably she took it off because it wasn't a great extension, let’s be real it was bad extension. But besides that nail, all my other nails had good length, and because she took it off, and I didn’t have time to get a new extension, she had to cut all my other nails. I would have liked it if she asked me first, that’s all, nails grow back so at the end of the day it’s not a big deal.

I personally did not get any nail art, so I will not be rating them in this section. I know this is like the whole point of the blog, so I promise I will go back soon and actually do the job I assigned myself. I will say though that the people around me who were getting nail art all seemed very happy. My plain manicure was kind of expensive however, so I would be prepared to pay if you are going for art.

LONGEVITY: ★

My regular gel manicure did not last as long as I wanted. It chipped way to early and also lifted. I’m hoping that when I go back I have a better experience.
